WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley has agreed to team up with NXT Champion Trick Williams for a tag team match at NXT’s 2300 Arena show in Philadelphia on November 6, 2024. This decision comes after an intense confrontation on the October 29 episode of WWE NXT.

The partnership was born out of a chaotic moment at NXT Halloween Havoc, where Bubba Ray Dudley made a surprise appearance to save Trick Williams from an attack by Ethan Page and Ridge Holland. Initially, Bubba Ray Dudley turned down Williams' offer to team up, citing his own principles and the need for Trick to fend for himself. However, after a heated exchange with Holland and Page, Bubba Ray Dudley changed his mind and accepted the offer.
During the confrontation, Bubba Ray Dudley expressed his frustration with Holland's disrespect towards him and his radio show, leading to a physical altercation. Williams then ran to the ring to even the odds, and together, they drove Page and Holland out of the ring. Bubba Ray Dudley then agreed to the tag team match, much to the excitement of the NXT audience.
