WWE Hall of Famer Keiji Muto, better known as The Great Muta, recently found himself in a rather unexpected situation during his visit to the UK. The Japanese wrestling legend attended the "For the Love of Wrestling" convention in Manchester, where he reunited with fellow wrestling icons like Mark Henry and Debra McMichael. However, it wasn't the convention that made headlines—it was his visit to a Wetherspoons pub.
Muto, who retired from wrestling in 2023, decided to explore the local cuisine and visited the Bishop Blaize, a Wetherspoons located near Manchester United's Old Trafford stadium. He shared his experience on social media, posting pictures of himself with his chosen dishes: a chicken katsu curry and a ramen noodle bowl.
While Muto seemed satisfied with the katsu curry, describing it as "okay," he was far from impressed with the ramen. In a follow-up post, he expressed his disappointment, writing, "But as for ramen...what the heck is this?!" accompanied by a picture of himself pulling a disgusted face.

Despite his less-than-pleasant experience with the ramen, Muto didn't shy away from returning to the pub for another meal. On a separate evening, he was seen enjoying a steak dinner at the same Wetherspoons location.
Muto's candid review of the pub's food has sparked a wave of reactions from fans and fellow wrestlers alike. While some sympathized with his disappointment, others shared their own mixed experiences with Wetherspoons' offerings.
The Great Muta's legacy in wrestling is undeniable, with a career spanning nearly four decades and numerous heavyweight championships. His moves, such as the Muta Lock and the Shining Wizard, have left an indelible mark on the sport. However, it seems his taste buds were not as easily pleased by the UK's pub food.
As Muto continues to enjoy his retirement, fans can only hope that his next culinary adventure will be more satisfying. Until then, his Wetherspoons escapade will remain a memorable—and somewhat amusing—chapter in his storied career.
Muto, we're with you, Wetherspoons is grim.
